    Seit ein paar Tagen ist der RC3 verfügbar. Debian Installer Bookworm RC3

    Improvements in this release

    • finish-install:
      • Adjust APT cache cleaning to avoid breaking bash completion
        (#1034650).
    • grub-installer:
      • Detect EFI boot variables with hexadecimal digits, not only
        decimal digits.
    • hw-detect:
      • Restore support for firmware license prompts (#1033921).
    • linux:
      • Build against updated dwarves, reducing its size and memory
        footprint (#1033301).
    • partman-base:
      • Add support for input submitted using power-of-two units: kiB,
        MiB, GiB, etc. (#913431). Note that sizes are still output using
        power-of-ten units: kB, MB, GB, etc.
      • Add support for bigger prefixes: petabyte (PB), pebibyte (PiB),
        exabyte (EB), and exbibyte (EiB).

    • preseed:
      • Make sure netcfg considers DHCP-provided hostnames, only using
        the hostname parameter on the kernel command line as a fallback
        (#1035349).

    Hardware support changes

    • debian-installer:
      • Ship dedicated DRM modules for bochs and cirrus to avoid broken
        graphics under UEFI/Secure Boot (#1036019).
    • linux:
      • Work around black screen on ppc64el (#1033058).
    • xorg-server:
      • Ship modesetting_drv.so in the udeb again, fixing graphical
        installer support on UTM (#1035014).

    Localization status

    • 78 languages are supported in this release.
    • Full translation for 41 of them.

    Known bugs in this release

    • There seems to be no known major bug as of yet.

    Immer wieder gerne. Dieses mal gab es richtig etwas zu tun:
    13 files changed, 137 insertions(+), 96 deletions(-)
    Und das nur, damit es überhaupt wieder baut. Danach folgten noch 5 Bugfixing Runden, wobei zwei davon (lediglich) das Packaging betrafen.

    Ergänzend noch ein Hinweis:
    Port 3012 für die Websocket Verbindungen ist jetzt offiziell deprecated und wird demnächst vollständig aus Vaultwarden entfernt. Genau jetzt wäre der richtige Zeitpunkt die Apache/Nginx Konfiguration dahingehend anzupassen.

    Hierfür habe ich neue Templates online gestellt.

    Gestern mal das Ganze mit einem Cinnamon Desktop ausprobiert. Eine verschlüsselte Installation auf eine PCIe NVMe SSD. So weit lief das alles reibungslos. Der Cinnamon Desktop hat dann leider keine 3D Unterstützung. Sieht so aus, als wenn keine vernünftigen Grafiktreiber genutzt würden. Da ich auf diesem Gebiet aber eine Null bin, lassen wir das mal so. Außerdem mag ich sowieso keine Desktops auf diesen kleinen SBC. Da fehlt mir einfach der Dampf 😉

    Gut, was ist mir so aufgefallen?

    Unbedingt die Daten des Daily Images erneuern, keine alten Images nutzen. Ich hatte da jetzt ein paar Mal Schwierigkeiten mit. Da das ja nun keine Arbeit ist, vorher einfach neu runterladen und Image bauen.

    Warum zum Henker bootet eigentlich. außer meiner Samsung T5, nichts vom USB3 oder USB-C Port?? 👿

    Nachdem ich den ROCKPro64 jetzt auf den Mainline umgestellt habe, lief meine Testinstallation von Grav nicht mehr.

    Ich bekam immer 502 Bad Gateway, Grund war ein nicht korrekt gestarteter php-pfm Service.
